Assistant or Associate Professor of History

Sattler College invites applications for a full-time, renewable one-year position as Assistant or Associate Professor of History. The successful candidate will be able to design and teach a wide array of history courses, as well as courses in Sattler College's core humanities curriculum. Area of specialization is open, though applicants with expertise in non-western or premodern fields are especially encouraged to apply.

Sattler College is a new and growing Christian college located in downtown Boston. The faculty member will have the exciting opportunity to help develop the College’s history and humanities curriculum and deepen its connections to Christian higher educational institutions abroad. As an institution, we lay stress on developing excellent communication skills, rooted in clear analytical thinking. All faculty members should be committed to developing students’ writing and oral communication skills in the course of their instruction.

We seek faculty who support the Founding Precepts of the College, harmonious with the beliefs of the historic Christian faith. Women and candidates from historically underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.

The position is full-time, with benefits, commencing in August 2021. Candidates must have completed at least a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline. Terminal degree preferred.
